Welcome to Stockholm and to Gamla Stan — where medieval Stockholm meets the modern capital! We believe local experiences require local guides.
Meet your local guide Sophie: a born Stockholmer with many years of experience as a guide, and an Authorised Tourist Guide in Stockholm. Being authorised means she completed a guide programme of almost a year with multiple exams to ensure quality and knowledge — 99.9% of guides in Stockholm are not authorised.
This Old Town Walking Tour is a historic tour experience where you learn about our Old Town, Stockholm and Sweden as a whole, with a touch on shared Nordic history. Sophie tells you facts and stories about the Old Town's past and present, covering Stockholm from its founding in the 1200s to its present form. By showing historic and present pictures at each stop, the stories come more to life.
We make around ten stops and walk at a good pace. At the last stop we enjoy a mini Fika together, as well as take a group photo (sent to you afterwards). After the tour you'll receive exclusive discounts and some local recommendations in town.
